NET ZERO WATER & ENERGY INITIATIVE

Following up with the Zero Water Initiative previously posted, the design has been modified in order to achieve a Net Zero Energy rating, as well. An initial attempt was made to implement as many passive strategies as possible, working cohesively. The next step was to implement active strategies to reduce the energy load on the building. The last step in the path to a Net Zero Energy building was to generate energy onsite via PV panels. Overall, the initial steps taken passively proved most crucial in the overall calculations, especially building orientation and massing.
